Romeo Und Julia

The Story
At the heart of Romeo und Julia lies not only a love story, but also the shadow of inherited hatred. The rivalry between two fathers spreads like poison, shaping families and infecting the entire town. Against this backdrop of hostility, Romeo and Julia’s secret love grows fragile and bright, a small spark in the darkness. Their courage to choose each other leads them into secrecy, risk, and ultimately tragedy. It is a story of love born in resistance, and of how deeply the choices of one generation can wound the next.

Kulturhof Perg
Kulturhof Perg, once renewed and rebuilt for art, offers a fitting home for this work. Its walls carry both history and possibility, a meeting point between past and future. In this space, the tragedy gains an extra dimension: the conflict of old structures against the hope of something new becomes tangible not only in the story, but in the place itself.
Hybrid Form
This performance moves in the space between spoken word and movement. Theater gives the story its voice, while dance reveals the silences, the tensions, and the emotions that escape speech. Together they create a form that is clear yet layered, opening Shakespeare’s tragedy in a way that is both familiar and freshly alive.
